Studio Catch Horticulture Solutions
Over the past two years, we have worked closely with gardeners in the cut Cymbidium cultivation industry to investigate how we can catch the Ambigolimax Valentianus without the use of pesticides. The result is 'Backie'. Research has shown that Backie is very effective, without chemical pesticides. Backie is the slug trap that will continue to catch slugs today and in the future. The development of Backie is just the beginning of Studio Catch Horticulture Solutions, because we want to develop more products to prepare the agriculture and horticulture sector for the future.
The team
Our team consists of 6 enthusiastic designers, who have gained a lot of experience in sustainable control within flower cultivation. Personal contact and cooperation are of paramount importance to us. Please feel free to contact us to discuss what we can do for each other.
All 6 of us have a background in Industrial Design Engineering at TU Delft. Here, we learned to design a product from different angles, with special attention to people and the environment.
Our vision
Studio Catch Horticulture Solutions is committed to working on the greenhouse of the future. This means being prepared for future challenges with a focus on sustainability.
We see that there are currently many opportunities for growers and breeders in the field of sustainability, logistics and efficiency. We envision a future in which the greenhouse is completely modernized in an innovative way that suits the growers' and breeders' working methods.
For example, with the development of Backie we have seen that it is possible to effectively combat the Ambigolimax Valentianus without chemical pesticides.
